after care
Tattoo:
After two hours, remove the bandage gently. Wash with warm water and liquid anti-bacterial soap. Do not rebandage! Apply a thin layer of ointment four times a day for the next week. After one week, apply a thin coat of Aquaphor or unscented hand lotion for the healing process. Stay out of sunlight and tanning beds for at least 14 days, or until tattoo is fully healed.
Do not: soak tattoo in (bathtub, sauna, jacuzzi, swimming pool, etc.) while your tattoo is healing.
Do not: rub, pick, or scratch at the tattoo while it's healing. Loss of color and/or infection can occur.
Extreme sun and exposure over the years can and will fade your tattoo. This can be minimized by using a strong sunscreen; at least SPF15. If you have any questions, feel free to contact the studio.

Piercing:
If you are under 18 years of age, a parent or legal guardian must accompany you.

Oral Piercings:
1. Use mouthwash after eating/drinking
2. Use crushed ice to reduce swelling
3. Make sure to eat soft foods accordingly
4. Use antiseptic mouthwash (Bioten or Orajel preffered)
5. Use antimicrobial soap or sterile wound wash on the outside of lip piercings twice daily

Facial & Body Piercings:
1. Before cleaning the piercing, make sure to properly wash your hands. If you have disposable gloves, we recommend using them each time you clean it.
2. Use a Q-tip to properly apply antimicrobial soap or wound wash on the piercing two to three times daily.
3. Rinse the piercing with warm water to remove all the soap and residue. (Foaming soap is easier to rinse off)
4. Keep the piercing clean and free of any germs or bacteria.
5. Make sure the soap you use specifically states it is antimicrobial, if not antibacterial.
(Chlorhexidine Gluconate) You can also use sterile saline wound wash. We recommend using Neil Med. (Located in the first-aid department) Make sure that if you are using antibacterial soaps, they have very little or no scents.

do not:
1. Do NOT touch the piercing, unless it is to properly clean it. Your piercing is literally a deep puncture wound. Make sure to treat it like one, and do not put yourself at risk for infection.
2. Do NOT use Alcohol, Peroxide, or Neosporin on your piercing. These disinfectants are too strong to use on a piercing and will cause serious issues with the healing process. Let your body heal the piercing. Soap and wound wash will help keep it clean during the healing process.
3. Do NOT under-clean or over-clean your piercing. This will cause irritation and can slow down the healing process.
4. Do NOT change or take out your jewelry until your piercing has fully healed. This will cause trauma to your piercing and you could develop hypertrophic scarring. Taking your jewelry out, before fully healed, can make you prone to infection. It may cause serious injury and possibly hospitalize you. It takes 6-8 weeks for a piercing to fully heal. You may refer to the APP Body Aftercare for healing and after-care tips.
